I believe that strengthening medicine also means strengthening the community in which we live. This is why I have built a path of strong institutional dedication within the Cardiology Society of the State of Rio de Janeiro (SOCERJ).
Across successive terms, I have served in highly relevant boards — including the Scientific and Financial boards — with the goal of fostering the ethical, technical and scientific development of cardiology in our state.

Education and Specialization
- Medical degree, Master’s and PhD in Cardiology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
- Specialist title in Cardiology from the Brazilian Society of Cardiology (SBC).
Teaching and Academic Management
- Adjunct Professor in the Department of Thoracic Diseases at the School of Medical Sciences, UERJ (FCM/UERJ).
- Coordinator of the Medical Residency Committee (COREME) at FCM/UERJ, contributing to specialist training at Pedro Ernesto University Hospital (HUPE).
Scientific Research
- Work focused on complex cardiovascular conditions, especially Heart Failure and Cardiorenal Syndrome.
- Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and member of the Heart Failure Association (HFA/ESC).
Leadership and Institutional Activity
- President of the Cardiology Society of the State of Rio de Janeiro (SOCERJ) for the 2026/2027 term.
- Co-founder and first President of the Brazilian Association of Catholic Physicians (2021–2024).
