Cardiology consultations
Individual medical assessment to understand symptoms, health history, cardiovascular risk factors, previous tests and ongoing treatments.

What it is
A cardiology consultation is a medical assessment of cardiovascular health. It includes discussion of symptoms, personal and family history, lifestyle, medications and health goals, followed by physical examination and review of available records.
What it is for
It can help assess risk factors, investigate symptoms and follow known cardiovascular conditions, as well as support prevention and longitudinal care.
How it works
Vital signs, history and physical examination are reviewed. Complementary tests are not an automatic package and are requested only when they may add useful information to clinical decisions.
When it may be indicated
It may be sought for palpitations, shortness of breath, chest discomfort, dizziness or fainting, blood pressure concerns, relevant family history or preventive follow-up. Urgency is assessed individually.
Important information
A scheduled consultation does not replace emergency care for acute symptoms. Tests, medication changes and follow-up intervals depend on each patient’s clinical situation.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need tests before the first visit?+
Usually there is no need to arrange tests on your own. Bring what you already have; new tests are chosen after medical assessment when indicated.
Can I bring old test results?+
Yes. Previous results may help show changes over time and avoid unnecessary repetition.
How often should I see a cardiologist?+
There is no single interval for everyone. Frequency depends on age, risk factors, symptoms, diagnoses and ongoing treatment.
Individual assessment matters
This page is educational and does not replace an individual medical assessment. Tests, treatment and follow-up are defined according to the clinical context. For acute or emergency symptoms, seek urgent care.
